|
Hi... I know HOW to get the firmware for my NOVA-T-USB DVB box... however perl wont build it?!
I have changed the get_dvb_firmware to recieve the USB file instead of the budget file... which is correct!!
It downloads the zip (but breaks half way through some times) and then... 'Ran Out of Data' appears and it just stops!!!
Here is the full output:
Code: |
eds-pc edward # perl /usr/src/linux/Documentation/dvb/get_dvb_firmware tda10046 --18:10:56-- http://www.technotrend.de/new/217g/tt_USB_217g.zip
=> `tt_USB_217g.zip'
Resolving www.technotrend.de... 217.89.68.4
Connecting to www.technotrend.de[217.89.68.4]:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
Length: 12,626,284 [application/zip]
100%[====================================>] 12,626,284 79.18K/s ETA 00:00
18:12:07 (175.90 KB/s) - `tt_USB_217g.zip' saved [12626284/12626284]
Ran out of data |
Does anyone know how to remedy this? Or does anyone just have the firmware file?
Thanks

No clue? Well I tried to manually d'load the firmware and extract from that but it still fails... it works with other stuff though. Can I edit something in the perl script to get it to work?
Thanks

Ok, So I found a gentoo user down the road who kindly can the perl script for me and he got the same problem?
So then it isnt my fault? Can Anyone get this to work?
TO ALL GENTOO PEOPLE OUT THERE, UNITE IN THE CAUSE OF SOTING OUT PROBLEMS! RUN THIS PERL SCRIPT AND SEE IF YOU GET ANYTHING OUT OF IT (BUT REMEMBER TO UPDATE THE 'get_dvb_firmware' FILE TO LOOK FOR USB :
perl /usr/src/linux/Documentation/dvb/get_dvb_firmware tda10046
Else it might be back to windoze

Well, I guess there aren't many people around here with the exact configuration of yours.
I can only say that the script worked fine for me getting the tda10045 (PCI card). What exactly fails when you download the file manually? Did you also try to unzip the file manually and what was the outcome?
I would guess that the linux-dvb mailinglist is a better bet if noone here has your config...
