|
|
Reformatting my box after doing some various things wrong....
Just wondering what the needed USE tags were for Enlightenment .16
I've put in: esd dvd cdr alsa wifi.....
the programs I'm planning on putting back on my box are: firefox-bin gkrellm Blender gaim gimp mplayer
Just wondering what USE I can rule out to save time from emerging libs I dont need.
Thanks, nordic _________________ listen to John Butler Trio from Australia |

You can install it even without setting USE flags at all. USE flags provides optional support.
If package "foo" depens on package called "bar", it will emerge "bar" as well, no matter what you have in your USE statement.
In short: If you don't need/want support for some libraries, leave them out from your USE flags.
For more information, please visit: Gentoo Linux Documentation -- USE flags. |
