|
If I change some of the paramaters of the USE variable is there a way that I can use emerge to locally update my system to reflect those changes? For instance if I added some cpu or graphic card specific params how could I direct emerge to just update the sources that are already on my box with these new settings? I can't find anything in the forums regarding this, but if the info is already out there feel free to just point me in that way. TIA.

emerge --update world --emptytree will do this for you. For detailed info see the Portage Manual (near codelisting 21) |
