I have a Gigabyte K8NPro mainboard and am looking to upgrade the RAM. I know how touchy amd64's/nforce3s can be with RAM so I thought I would ask and see if anyone here can recommend some cheap (>$140 a piece) 1G sticks that they have had success with. Exact board doesnt need to match, just chipset (nforce3). I am hoping to not to pay $180 a piece for kingstons.

Newegg has three that seem to have good reviews at a reasonable price.

Transcend 184-Pin 1GB DDR PC-3200 With Samsung Chipset, Model TS128MLD64V4J - Retail

Any recommendations or success stories?

No matter what you get, you should be able to change some settings to get the ram to work. I know kingston hyperX doesn't work with that board and the default bios settings. It says that in their manual also. You can make bios setting changes to get it to work fine though.
