Upon Gentoo's boot, the kdm login fires up with the options of logging in as 'root' or 'nathanbrisk'. It doesn't let me log in as nathanbrisk but it will let me log in as root.
To get around this, I exit to "console login" and log in to root, then I "su nathanbrisk" and "startx" and it works.
How can I fix this problem and log in to nathanbrisk directly?

Check Login Manager options in Control Center maybe the user cannot login from kdm. |
