heres my partitions first
hda = XP drives and boot
hdc1 = another NTFS partition
hdc5 = 50 meg /boot ext3 part
hdc6 = 1000meg swap
hdc7 = 20 g ext3 part
when i try to install grub with my configuations i get
ffs_stage1_5 not read correctly ERROR
hmmm i have no idea why |

i try to do a
grub-install --root-directory=/boot /dev/hda
figuring that will override the NT boot |

This will probably get moved to that bloated Grub Error Collection, but whatever. If you are going to use the grub-install command, be sure you have your boot partition mounted at /boot. _________________ "That question was less stupid; though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way."
