|
|
Hello to all Gentooists out there!
I am trying to make a network boot on an IBM ThinkPad T30 with an Intel Pro/100 VE.
IBM Boot Agent 4.1.07 comes up, DHCP and TFTP work fine and GRUB starts.
Unfortunately GRUB does not find the ethernet card! I configured the eepro100 support in GRUB.
As the Intel Pro/100 VE is based on an 8255x chip I thought this will work.
Does anybody know, if this adapter works with GRUB? Or did I make a mistake?
Any help appreciated.
Best regards,

It just probably needs a newer version of the driver. _________________ Inspiron 4100 & Sun UltraAXe

I built GRUB with the options --enable-diskless --enable-eepro100. As far as I understood after searching through the pages of GRUB, IBM, Intel, ... this does not use a normal driver but relys on support for nics from etherboot. So I see no possibility to use a newer driver.
