I just emerged kde-3.4 but I can't get it to start. I keep getting kde-3.3.2. I have edited /etc/rc.conf, deleted .kde and kde-3.3 and created a symlink from .kde-3.4 to .kde and everytime I reboot it recreates .kde-3.3. I've manually deleted every kde-3.3.2 files I can find. What am I missing?
Thanks! |

Try adding this to ~/.xintrc (create the file in your home directory if it doesn't already exits)
Code: | /usr/kde/3.4/bin/startkde |

The correct way is to update XSESSION in /etc/rc.conf. _________________ Please make sure that you have searched for an answer to a question after reading all the relevant docs. |

that's odd... the installs I've done in the last few days have always switched to it automatically from KDE 3.3.2 |
