Whenever I try starting/emerging OO 1.1.4 (haven't tried other versions) I get this error:
Code:

/opt/OpenOffice.org/program/soffice.bin: /opt/OpenOffice.org/program/libgcc_s.so.1: version `GCC_3.3' not found (required by /usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.3-20050110/./libstdc++.so.6)

Anyone know how to fix?

Did you upgrade GCC or change your CHOST variable in make.conf recently?

Its been a while since I last used OO so I may have upgraded gcc since then. Is there anyway to fix this?

Code:
fix_libtool_files.sh
The instructions that are given there should be straightforward enough. I presume you upgraded from GCC 3.3.x to 3.4.x. If you don't have that fix_libtool_files.sh, run an emerge libtool.

This thread should be able to help you out hopefully.

I ran the fix_libtool_files.sh script after updating gcc. Didn't help.

What arguments did you run the script with, if any?

Did you change your CHOST variable at some point?

Output of...?
Code:
gcc-config -l
cat /etc/env.d/05gcc

I ran the script multiple times. I tried:
fix_libtool_files.sh 3.3.4 - found nothing
fix_libtool_files.sh 3.4.3 - found a couple things

I haven't changed my CHOST since I installed gentoo back in 2003.

Code:

raptor ~ # gcc-config -l
[1] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.4
[2] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.3-20050110 *

raptor ~ # cat /etc/env.d/05gcc
