Well I am running ~amd64 and it upgraded on its last emerge world -Duv to dbus-0.94. Now whenever I try to start a program (gaim for example, rhythmbox for another example, yada yada) I get something like this ==>

Code:

<Package Name I Typed Here>: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-glib-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Anybody have any idea how to fix this?

run revdep-rebuild, emerge gentoolkit first if you don't have it on your system yet

Looks like you've hit this bug. Maybe try the recommended
dbus-0.62-r1.
