emmm ho messo udev, arrivo mi loggo do startx e ...... schermo nero... devo premere reset sul pc....
cosa posso fare? ho seguito tutte le procedure del tutorial.....
nel boot nessun errore
il mio kernel e' 2.6.10-gentoo-r6 della famiglia ( gentoo-dev-sources ) era scritto cosi'?
addirittura non va neanche ctrl + c
non se che fare.....
(premetto che ho cercato documentazione e cercato 3 pagine di risultati sul forum) 3 perche' erano 3

| Anche a me era capitato, il problema era il device del mouse in xorg.conf. Avevo risolto mettendo /dev/input/mice |

Ops stesso problema.. peccato che mi tocchera usare la live cd o un altro pc loggandomi in ssh perche' mi parte in automatico e CTRL+ALT+F1 non mi da la shell! 
Passaggio a udev non dei piu' brillanti............ 
EDIT: rieccomi con il log..... Thundah mi sa che e' lo stesso problema ora prova a sostituire con il mice!

puoi anche mettere /dev/psaux.
per essere sicuro loggati come root e dai:
quindi muovi il mouse. se vedi caratteri strani allora la path è quella giusta. |

bho? devo ancora provare quella cosa, cmq non si vede neanche il mouse schermo nero.... e tutto bloccato, non va lo switch da console... niente neanche ctrl + c |

usa un'altro pc con ssh per loggarti sul tuo o direttamente con la live... poi controlla i log in /var/log/Xorg.0.log vedrai che e' di sicuro il mouse che devi metterlo a /dev/input/mice!
