xpdf - nur teilkompilation

beim kompilieren von xpdf habe ich ein seltsames Problem. Ich kompiliere (emerge xpdf) und es geht auch, doch wird xpdf als binary nicht kompiliert. folgende Meldung erscheint während der Kompilation:

configure: WARNING: Couldn't find X / Motif -- you will be able to compile
pdftops, pdftotext, pdfinfo, pdffonts, pdftoppm, and pdfimages, but not xpdf
cd goo; make
....

motif und X sind drauf, ich habe es dann motif noch zusätzlich in der Make.conf eingetragen aber wieder dasselbe.

Hat mir jemand einen Tip?
