OK, I've just read here that the 8.16.20 driver is supposed to fix the problem.
OpelBlitz, have you unmasked that version? |

I didn't. But, I installed it right off ATI's website and it works great now. |

It works, yes. Great? no
In my case it doesn't want to run at 1400x1050 resolution. No matter what I tried it switches to a lower one. Not really a problem for playing games, but I can't use it as the only video driver. I still use radeon for work. Oh, and fglrx doesn't support suspend to disk. System hangs on resume. |
