so i'm trying to spruce up my graphics performance.

when i run glxinfo or glxgears, this is what happens...

glxinfo: error while loading shared libraries: libGL.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory


any ideas?

I don't know ATI cards, but I think that you need to look at :

and
