SSH and Dreamweaver Connections

I'm having problems using Dreamweaver to connect to my gentoo box. I can ssh in via putty, but it refuses the DW connection. Anyone have any ideas why? Thanks!

Yes, SFTP... I'm using MX 2004 trying to connect to my gentoo box over SFTP. Sorry I did not specify
