|
|
I began the build from Stage 1 a couple of days ago, i've done this process a number of times already and have never had any problems that could not be fixed by my own stupidity. Right now i am rather puzled, here is the situation. As i begin the bootstrap process everything looks fine, the compilation of the initial packages goes through, gcc builds ok, etc... then i get up to stage 5/6 where glibc needs to compile. While running the configure script, the system exists with the following error:
checking for suffix of object file... configure: error: cannot compute suffix of object files: cannot compile
Any suggestions?
Thank you |

Could you post the config.log for the compile? There is probably a more verbose explanation there. _________________ "That question was less stupid; though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way."

i've looked through the config.log file, and for some reason it comes up with the error that "gcc-config error could not run/locate gcc" even though gcc is already installed and is present in the path and in the user directory. |
