|
|
I know that one can put the following in the location bar ( in, say, konqueror ):
Code: | ftp://username:password@ftp.site.net |
And all is nice and well...
But what about in a case where the username is something like, say, "username@site.net", rather than just simply "username"? For instance, like with virtual hosting and such.
The following url in the location bar fails for obvious reasons:
Code: | ftp://username@site.net:password@ftp.site.net |
Am I s.o.l. as far as ftp through the browser in this case, or is there some sort of syntax/method that I'm not aware of?
Many thanks!

Replace the @ in the URL by %40. Depending on the browser used, this may or may not work. Some browsers require %%40 instead of %40. _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto

Awesome, the %40 totally did tha trick!
Thanks bro!
( I'm gonna edit out the bit about the webserver corrupting the zip file in my org post - that was a nobrainer on my part... the problem was the actual file, not the server config - DoH! )
Thanks again! |
