Hallo Forum,
wollte gerne mambo installieren....habe also emerge mambo durchfgeführt php mod_php mit zlib etc neu übersetzt. Nun sollte ja laut ebuild Hinweis unter http://localhost mambo aufzurufen sein. Leider erscheint jetzt aber nur die apache Testseite.
Was mache ich falsch?
Was hat es mit dem geheimnisvollen webapp-confog auf sich?
Wozu brauche ich das?
Wieso wird die Anwendung nicht nach htdocs installiert? Was verspricht man sich davon?
Soll das dann ein vhost werden?

ich weis ja nicht , sollte man solche sachen nicht besser per hand installieren, die müssen ja immer konfiguriert werden.
naja
qpkg -l www-apps/mambo
dann weist du wo sich das hingepackt hat
danach verschiebst du das dir in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/
liest dir die INSTALL.TXT oder README durch und machst ne konfiguration
evtl noch
ein rm index.*
und eine index.php erstellen mit

Eigentlich wollte ich ja gerne, daß eventuelle Updates per emerge eingespielt werden. Deshalb die Installation per ebuild.
Was mich halt windert ist, daß auch die anderen Anwendungen 2 mal installiert werden einmal ins reguläre Apache Document root und dann nochmal unter /usr/share webapps.
Wozu das?
nur bei Mambo ist es z.B. nicht so?
Weshalb ...was willmir der Entwickler damit sagen? Oder ist das ein Fehler?

Unter /usr/share/webapps liegt keine doppelte Kopie, sondern lediglich ne default config (ist zumindest bei phpmyadmin so).
