dopo aver abilitato l'unicode grazie all'ottima guida sul sito gentoo ho riscontrato problemi con openoffice-1.1.3 che crashava con un errore
>>glibc free pointer invalid <<, ho aggiornato alla 1.1.4 ~amd64 e stesso errore mentre la 1.1.4-PLIO scaricata modificando così l'ebuild della 1.1.4 (scrivo solo i cambiamenti)

sembra essere + stabile, nessun errore con glibc-2.3.4-20051102
Eppoi è in italiano che è meglio.
