Hey,
I was wondering if anyone knows how to cut down on all the stuff the /dev directory shows. I like how the livecd only shows what is actually there and not 300+ devices.

If you are already running a udev system make sure in /etc/conf.d/rc that DEVICE_TARBALL is off. |

Good thing, but be careful with that, some essential devices (like ppp for me) are still unavailable with udev, so you will have to create them manually in /etc/conf.d/local_start if you turn of the devices tarball. _________________ "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." |
