Hallo,
ich hab nach dem Howto aus dem Gentoo-Wiki (email system for the homenetwork) einen IMAP-Server + fetchmail aufgesetzt.. funktioniert wunderbar 
Was mich etwas stört ist, dass fetchmail entweder manuell gestartet werden muss oder automatisch in festen Intervallen nach email geschaut wird (cron/daemon). Ist es möglich das so einzurichten, dass fetchmail auf dem Server automatisch gestartet wird, wenn ich in einem email-Client (z.B. kmail) auf den Knopf "Nach emails sehen.. / Senden und empfangen usw." klicke ?
Freue mich über sämtliche noch so kleinen Tips

| Also ich kenn zumidnest keinen Imap Server der sowas wie "on connect do..." unterstützt, aber ist zumindest mal eine interessante Idee, vielleicht gehts über nen TCP wrapper daemon? |
