Hello all!
This is my first post here. After a few years using Slackware, I've just bought a brand new PC and I decided to migrate to a native 64 bit system, so I choose gentoo. This is my configuration:
Athlon64 3500+
1 Gb Twinmos DDR400 PC3200
Motherboard ASUS A8N SLI (with nForce4 chipset)
1 HD SATA Maxtror 300 Gb
This is my question: can you make gentoo installation recognize the Serial ATA HD? (with nForce4 driver) and then carry on with the installation? Searching on the web I found that some people did it, but with different controllers and/or other configurations, I did't find something specific for my motherboard (or at least the nForce4)
Can you help me?
Thanks in advance!
TAD
P.S: Sorry for my horrible english! |
