pppd and dialing costs

I've been searching around for a way to log and calculate the amount of data I use and the time I am online using pppd. I haven't found anything usable yet though. Can anyone point me in some direction or recommend software they use?

OK, I got pppd to log everything to /var/log/ppp - Is there a log parser that can magically analyze the logs for me
