|
|
How can I use my extra keys that are on my keyboard? Such as: volume, mute, standby, internet... and such. I figure there is a way to map them to a command so say, the internet key would open up mozilla? I've looked through xmodmap and xev but I can't figure it out. I basically need to know how to identify these keys and then put them in a relevant file. Like ~/.fluxbox/keys or something. Thanks! _________________ -Josh |

geez. got it. man pages are cool. Ok, check it out, this is great. You can increment, decrement, and set the volume, respectively, like this:
Code: | amixer set 'Master' 1+
amixer set 'Master' 1-
amixer set 'Master' 40 |
keep in mind that 65 is the highest it goes. I about blew out my eardrums. At least, 65 is how it is with my setup. Maybe it is different for some people.
And of course, you can change other channels besides 'Master'. For a list for your card, do:
Good luck. _________________ -Josh |
