Just trying to rip a CD here using kaudiocreator (split kde3.4 ebuilds - with kdemultimedia-kioslaves installed), it (meaning kaudiocreator) seems very slow and jerky when a CD is inserted to rip. I'm getting a good ten plus seconds (possibly more) between selecting something and getting a response.
Also - I've just tried using Konqueror to rip and I'm getting this :
Code: |
An error occurred while loading audiocd:/:
Could not read /.
|
Anybody seen this ? Thanks for any help ! |

I've just seen the former.. totally useless.
Have gone back to Konqueror, which works pretty well.
I'm having trouble with abcde just giving me "finished" within half a minute.. which is a pity, because it used to work fine. Will try re-emerging it once this cd has finished.

Ok, I've solved the latter problem - Konqueror and audiocd:/ , what I had to do was, via kcontrol - sound and multimedia, turn off 'determine device automatically' and specify the drive that I want to rip from.
The issue with kaudiocreator remains however ... |

You just need to change (during ripping process) "Encoder priority" value in settings -> configure kaudiocreator -> encoder.
This issue is strange, because both increasing and decreasing encoder priority makes kaudiocreator working fine. _________________ http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Index
