I'm having problems making my Terratec Cinergy 600 card working in Gentoo, running AMD64 2.6.11-r4, also got 2.6.9. Included the SAA7134 driver in the kernel, but it doesn't work.

Any tips / hints will be appreciated. Thanx.

I have exactly the same card. You should have saa7134 as a module, not in the kernel.

Then the module has to be loaded with options. I use
Code:
modprobe saa7134 card=11 tuner=38

or
Code:
saa7134 card=11 tuner=38

in my /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6.

I tried with card 12 and tuner 38, and also 11 since you said you use it but I bet you've got a different list, or what?

Still no luck with getting it to work :(

I probably have the same list. Now that you mention it, I remember that usually 12 is the correct one, at least on the list. But in earlier versions 11 was correct.

As I was quite puzzled by these numbers when I installed my card, I tried all possible combinations. The one I mentioned worked best or equal to others.

How do you know that the card does not work?

But I have seen better results.

I seem to have forgotten to make I2C built-in and when I tried with card 11 after I fixed this detail it worked, have only tested Composite so far but so far so good :)

Thanx for your help.
