|
|
I've installed openbox on my amd64 3000+ with 1,5 Gb RAM, which is working pretty fast and simple.
My question is, when I install gnome, will it effect the speed of eg openbox?
How does this work? The more libs, the slower your system (like window$)?
And why?
I'm a newbie so.... _________________ Sorry, I don't understand... |

It may do so indirectly (filling up more file system space, having more stuff run on system boot, switching window managers to slower ones, etc etc) but that's the case for any system. It's unlikely that you will feel the difference. _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto
