Hi!
I have problems with NIS and gzip. The users datas is on another computer and I connect to that computer by nis. I configured my nis client, but after "/etc/init.d/ypbind start" my gzip was died.
The error:
[program, which wanna use gzip]: segfault at 0000000000000000000 rip {an address} rsp {an address} error 4
{an address} is like 00000123a34322a23
I've an Amd64.
Could sy help me, how solve the problem?

What information was used to determine this was a glibc problem?
i.e. how did one determine that upgrading glibc was the fix?
(i'm compiling, now...)
