Hi!

I have problems with NIS and gzip. The users datas is on another computer and I connect to that computer by nis. I configured my nis client, but after "/etc/init.d/ypbind start" my gzip was died.

The error:

[program, which wanna use gzip]: segfault at 0000000000000000000 rip {an address} rsp {an address} error 4

{an address} is like 00000123a34322a23

I've an Amd64.

Could sy help me, how solve the problem?

Thx

What information was used to determine this was a glibc problem?
i.e. how did one determine that upgrading glibc was the fix?
(i'm compiling, now...)

Cheers
