Im about fed up with trying to get this to compile...Ive tried tuning down my USE flags and CFLAGS, upgrading to gcc-3.4 didnt help either. This is a new install and its not the first that Ive done.
heres my make.conf
Code: | CFLAGS="-02 -mtune=i686 -fomit-frame-pointer"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
MAKEOPTS="-j2"
USE="mmx sse ntpl" |
heres the error output of the compile
Code: | i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -o pswrap -02 -mtune=i686 -fomit-frame-pointer -mno-sse2 -mno-sse3 -fno-strict-aliasing -ansi -pedantic -Wno-return-type -w -L../../exports/lib/ main.o pswparser.o lexer.o pswdict.o pswfile.o systemnames.o psw.o pswstring.o pswsemantics.o -lfl -Wl, -rpath-link,../../exports/lib
/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.3-20050110/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannont find -lflcollect2: ld returned 1 exit status

I don't know if it would matter or not, but if you used the -02 for the whole system, I'd do an emerge -e just to rule it out. At least that's what I'd do. |

Rebuild at least the build chain again with -O2. Rebuilding everything with -e would be probably better. |

Please see https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-295915.html (This thread seems to have been fixed indirectly by the recompiling everything method.)
