Hi
I have problem with system performance, if copy files on SATA disk or between SATA.
Asus P4P800
p42.8
1gb
2x200GB sata hdd
kernel 2.6.11-r4
swap partition size 512MB
if I copy file, system is load 100%
help me please |

This is because you don't have dma enabled for your drive.
Are you using the scsi libata drivers? |

i don't know, how enabled dma for SATA
hdparm don't work with SCSI devices |

All scsi sata drivers set themselves to use dma by default, so you shouldn't have to do anything. The drives show up properly as /dev/sda etc. then? |

yes i have sata disk in /dev/sda and /dev/sdb
but not solved my problem
system is very high load if I copy files
if i start copy speed is 40MB/s but a moment 11MB/s and system high load
some buffer is full?? i don't know
pls help me |
