IVTV tuner module missing [solved]

The current ivtv ebuild (0.2.0_rc3-r3) uses the ivtv release ivtv-0.2.0-rc3g. The make file in this and the subsequent ivtv-0.2.0-rc3h version fail to build the tuner.ko module. Fortunately the forthcoming ivtv-0.2.0-rc3i version fixes this.

A quick workaround to this is to build and install the tuner module from the candidate i release

# wget http://205.209.168.201/~ckennedy/ivtv/ivtv-0.2.0-rc3i.tgz
# tar -xvzf ivtv-0.2.0-rc3i.tgz
# cd ivtv-0.2.0-rc3i/driver
# make
# cp tuner.ko /lib/modules/2.6.xx-gentoo-rxx/extra/
# modules-update

http://205.209.168.201/~ckennedy/ivtv/ivtv-0.2.0-rc/ivtv-0.2.0-rc3i.tgz
