latest emerge -u world broke Bit Torrent again.. doh!, Hmm only real things that were emerged was a new x-11 lib and latest firefox,, they just seem to not start and say failed right away.. strange.. was working last night. Any else get this yet?


I'm using Bit Tornado.. seems like this error is popping up in the windows..

BitTorrent T-0.3.8 (BitTornado)
OS: linux2
Python version: 2.3.4 (#1, Mar 8 2005, 17:29:40)
[GCC 3.3.5 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5-r1, ssp-3.3.2-3, pie-8.7.7.1)]
wxWindows version: 2.4.2.4

Yeah my Bittornado is broken too, I suspect it is a change in firefox 1.0.2 that is doing it because I have seen other posts on elsewhere on the web saying that if you can't open a torrent in the new firefox go and use IE (eg - this is happening to windows users as well it would seem).

I got it all working again. The first time it broke i had to re-emerge wxGTK and that fixed it a couple weeks ago. This last time somehow the permission on the share i was downloading to somehow got reset to read only, so everytime i was starting a torrent it was saying failed right away.

Another tip is late at night, make sure to do a emerge -uD world and update all the depenencies.
