hi,

I'm desperatly try to get acpi running. I made sure that the dsd compiles without errors. Furthermore I made sure only acpi modules are enabled and no apm in the kernel. So now I get this error in dmesg:

Code:
ACPI: RSDP (v000 ACER                                  ) @ 0x000f62e0
ACPI: RSDT (v001 ACER   Kestrel  0x20020806  LTP 0x00000000) @ 0x1eee66d8

APIC => Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller
ACPI => Advanced Configuration and Power Interface
They aren't the same.
To enable APIC compile support in your kernel.

try adding 'lapic' to your kernel parameters.

yeah, well basically my problem is that acpi doesn't detect my laptop battery and I hoped this apci was responsible for that.

as said before I enabled all acpi in the kernel and made sure that the dsd has no errors. But still it won't work.

My config:

add it to your kernel parameters in your bootloader config

if you previously had "root=/dev/hda3" then you would now have "root=/dev/hda3 lapic"
