Why does the install guide recomend creatting a 100mb boot partition, I haven't even used 2 megs on mine. |

For future use... As time goes on the kernel size will get larger and with 100Mb you can have multiple kernels. For instance, suppose you would like to have the 2.4.20 for stability and you would also like to test the 2.5.x kernel. The possibilities are endless...

whell my kernel currently takes up less than a meg so that would mean i could put over 100 kernels in my boot partition, to me this seems a little excessive. |

I guess it all depends on how much backup you want to do. I think its pretty much a standard for the linux world these days. When I installed slackware in the late 90's it requested 16M boot partition....
