Problems with the Laptop, frecuency scaling,help please

Hello

I have an amd athlon xp mobile , I merged kernel 2.6.11, to configure the frequency scaling with ondemand governor, it worked for some hours, but when I turned off the computer .... it didnt boot again ...

Could be that the ondemand governor, had broke down the CPU???(I mean , could be that changing a the frecuency so much had broke down the CPU???)
