I am trying to get something with tomcat working. I figured out what the problem is. I was wondering in a startup script (in init.d) how can you change the user that starts it up? Like is there a piece of code I can add that switches the user?
su - username
but then it asks for a password. How can I enter that password automatically within the script and then continue on with the script?
Thanks |

Take a look at 'sudo' (emerge sudo, man sudo)
Hope that helps |
