I want to emerge flash, but I used firefox to get the flash plugin, problem is though that the sound stutters. How do I get rid of the flash plugin for firefox, it's not listed under preferences/downloads/plug-ins...
BTW, the sound works fine with XMMS, or anything else... except flash.

More info:
I am using OSS, had too much trouble with ALSA. Also using a 2.6 kernel and gnome-light.
I tried to start firefox like this:
Code: | artsdsp /usr/bin/firefox |
Whenever I try to play a flash with sound it exits saying:
Quote: | /usr/libexec/mozilla-launcher: line 542: 11520 Segment fault "$mozbin" "$@"
firefox-bin exited with non-zero status (139) |
Someone with the exact same problem:

To remove the Flash plugin for Firefox, delete the Flash related files in ~/.mozilla/plugins.
You are not going to be able to emerge Flash for Firefox. The program is able to install plugins by itself, so there is no need for the users to manually do it. |

Fixed it by recompiling the kernel without OSS and ALSA, then followed the Gentoo ALSA Guide... |
