good day,
i am using a dell laptop that has a mini pci card (intel ipw2100) and a 2.6.9 kernel. i use wireless ocasionaly at home, but it seems rediculous there as i am not 4 feet from my router.
my university, on the other hand, has wireless internet available throughout campus (and with a few diy projects very far away). the only problem is that they have recently implemented the 802.1x authentication and i have no idea where to start. of course the univ. it's website has support for winxp and macosx but obvously i am using gentoo, so its up to me to figure it out (which i prefer anyway -- more fun).
so the question stands -- how do i authenticate under linux in a 802.1x envirmonetn? your help is appreciated.
