I was just playing with some eye candy for my Gnome desktop on X.org version 6.8.0. I enabled Composite in the xorg.conf file, and restarted. The desktop seemed a bit laggy, and everything didn't seem to go as smoothely as it did before. I then commented the composite section out of the xorg.conf file, and restarted X. Now, when I log on as my normal user account, all of the windows are missing their top bar. I can still get to the menues, but I can't get to the shortcut boxes in the top right (to close, minimize, etc.). I tried changing the theme, but this didn't help. I tried logging in as root, and everything was fine. This happen to anyone before? I'm thinking it might have something to do with a Gnome config script in my home directory.
Thanks for any info... |

OK, never mind. I fixed it by deleting .gnome2/sessions, and then restarting X. |
