Ok heres what I got I have a ls zip 120 at /dev/hdd and a regular floppy drive at I assume /dev/fd0 .I cant get either to mount . Well I can get the floppy to mount some times as long as I dont eneter the ide floppy into fstab. I think that is where my problem lies I dont know what to set in the fstab to get them to work together. Could someone who has both drive working post a shot of their fstab just to give me a clue as to the settings to try .I mean like the pass and landing zones and if is auto ,atnotime ,supermount or any other thing . That would bring great joy to a fellow gentoo er . I got all my other drives working the zip and floppy are just being bears. Also they flip flop mounting points on me when in the freak event that I got it working twice ,as in once ls took /mnt/floppy once then I tried /mnt/floppy2 and it was the reg floppy . Then I tried a few minuteds later and it was reverced ( had switched disks in in this time to see if I could write from one to the other). If you could post your fstab Id be much beholden to ya...The reason I need both is cause some folks I give floppies made with the ls zip say that they cant read in their regular floppy . I assume since the ls uses a laser to make the disk ,But not 100% sure . |
