Good job! However, one question: is skim necessary since scim works great for KDE, gnome, xfce4 and so on?
I had a bad experience with skim1.2.1 once, then unmerged it and decided to stick to scim. |

hehe, thanks.
for bad experience, first, I need reemerge qt fot qtimm, which is not suggested for amd64;
second, after I emerged skim and rebooted, I had trouble to evoke skim or scim.
Personally, I like kde very much, and may try skim a little bit later. |

oh, btw, you do not need to "reboot", all you need is just exit X, and then re-startx, after you finished the gernal skim configuration, mentioned in last post _________________ BLOG: http://liucougar.scim-im.org |

Thanks for your information. I'm just wondering whether skim is compatible with xfce4 or other gtk based applications. |
