I found a shareware app in windows that expands windows icon libraries, but I was hoping to find something in linux that opens *.icl files?

Anyone know of such a program?

currently, no program exists under Linux natively (that i know of).

i did try a multitude of programs from Microangelo, SuperIcon, ArtIcons,
IconCool, Axialis IconWorkshop, etc. via Wine with little to no luck.

SuperIcon did work for me i think, able to open .icl files, but its ability to
extract to .png was horrid.

solution:
dropped back to my windows 2000 install, installed Axialis IconWorkshop,
and was extracting .pngs from .icls with no problem. although, .icls contain
an icon, with different sizes for each, and you have to extract each size
manually, which is a PITA.

i extracted the multiminimal suite of icons, using this method.
(for personal use)

A little vmware with win98 or 2000 could be very useful for such issues :)

Cheers,
