Hi,
when I run xine as root there is no problem. When I try to run xine as a user it won't finish loading. I can't see an error message, though.
Any idea?
Thanks,

Yes it is.
Is there any way of loading xine in a debugging mode?
Thanks,

You could emerge strace and run it on that. And xine-lib has a debug USE flag you could turn on. Other than that, not sure. _________________ If it ain't broke, tweak it. dvds | blurays | blog | wiki |

It works now. It seems that the first time xine is started by a new user takes realy long. I don't know why, maybe the user-specific files have to be written......or I need a better PC.
Thanks,
