hi leute ich hab da ein problem mit fdisk
wenn ich mit dem Befehl
fdisk /dev/hda eigebe um fdisk zu starte bekomme ich folgend Fehlermeldung und dann kann ich auch keine propationstabe le schreiben.
gentoo # fdisk /dev/hda
You will not be able to write the parition table
Note: secotor size is 2048 (not 512)
Device countains neither a valid DOS partition table, nor Sun, SGI or OSF diklabel.
Building a new DOS disklabel. Changes woöö remain in memory only, until you decide to write them. After that, of course, the prevoius conteat woun`t be recouverable
Warning: invalid flag 0x0000 of partition table 4 will be corrected by w(rite)
Kann mir jemand sagen was das bedeutet und wie ich es geheben kann.

Hmm, ist das eine neue Festplatte?
Für mich hört sich das so an, als wäre die Partitionstabelle zerschossen. Wenn du ein write machst, wird diese neu geschrieben. Dabei gehen natürlich alle Daten darauf verloren, falls da welche drauf sind.

das ist eine ganz neue platte, vielleicht ein halbes jahr alt.
ich kann kein write machen
dann kommt
unable to write /dev/hda
und bei einer win xp installation oder ein andere linux distri klappt hervorragend.

Was ist als Zugriffsmodus im BIOS eingestellt?

was meinst du mit zugriffsmodus??
ich hab bei den einstellungen denn cylinder , secotoren, und headers alles auf auto wenn du das meinst.
