|
|
I have the following versions of relevant software installed:
mail-mta/courier-0.48.1
net-libs/courier-authlib-0.53
net-mail/fetchmail-6.2.5
and these are the main errors I get from doing 'fetchmail -vv'
fetchmail: SMTP< 250 Ok.
fetchmail: SMTP> RCPT TO: <someuser@localhost>
fetchmail: SMTP< 513 Syntax error.
fetchmail: SMTP error: 513 Syntax error.
fetchmail: SMTP listener doesn't like recipient address `someuser@localhost'
fetchmail: SMTP< 220 localhost ESMTP
fetchmail: SMTP> HELO localhost
fetchmail: SMTP< 250 localhost Ok.
fetchmail: SMTP> MAIL FROM:<FETCHMAIL-DAEMON@localhost>
fetchmail: SMTP< 517 Syntax error.
I've dug through the help files as best I could... I add 'localhost' and the machine name to /etc/courier/locals, plus tweaked a few other files.. nothing seems to work. The last time I merged 'courier-authlib', I enabled MySQL support, but it didn't initialize its own database, nor did it provide my instructions on how to do so myself. I have a feeling, that's where the true problem lies.... |
