|
|
Hello!
I tried to install the newest nvidia 3D-driver some days ago. It did not work out, and I am back to my old PCI Matrox card.
Yet since this try, amarok does not start anymore.
I tried to re-emerge it, and configure runs without problems.
After several minutes of compiling however, it crashes, stating:
Code: | x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++: /usr/lib/libGL.so: No such file or directory
make[4]: *** [amarokapp] Error 1 |
I ran opengl-update xorg-x11 and tried again, to no avail.
What shall I do?
Thanks in advance,
Joy

i think you have a glibc lib file problem, you need the fixlibfiles.sh or whatever its called. The problem is caused by some files using an older glibc version than you have _________________ https://otw20.com/ OTW20 The new place for off the wall chat |

Are you seriously saying you were trying to run it from the command line without X? _________________ https://otw20.com/ OTW20 The new place for off the wall chat |

Hell no, sir
As I stated in the first post, nvidia's installer b0rked my opengl during my (failed) installation attempt. This was explained in this thread: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-307719.html.
As a result, /usr/lib/opengl/xorg-x11/lib was empty, which means opengl-update xorg-x11 cannot restore /usr/lib/libGL.so, for example. Only a recompile of xorg can do this, sadly.
Sorry for the confusion |
