Hi-
I use gkrellm to keep myself up to date with what kind of stuff is going on inside this box. I noticed a while ago that it reports 0 users are logged on, which isn't true, because I am logged on. I see this on both my 1.2 box and my 1.4 rc2 box. Also, if I issue the "w" command, I see 0 users also...
Code: |
bob@beefsteak bob $ w
12:48:23 up 2 days, 22:07, 0 users, load average: 2.71, 1.49, 0.71
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT
bob@beefsteak bob $
|
This is the same for both root and regular users. Any ideas why w and gkrellm doesn't report the users correctly?
Thanks,
tfandango |

Moved from Installing Gentoo.
This was asked a while back, but I'm not finding the thread. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

who command doesn't show all users
If anyone knows the "answer", I'd be glad to add a FAQ about it. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |
