I have a USB IrDA adapter the MA-620 it is basically a USB-Serial adapter using the PL2303 chip. I have compiled the kernel with support for IrDA, usb to serial and usbdevfs and modprobed both usbserial and pl2303. When I plug in the device it is recognised straight away. The problem is I cant get anything to connect to it. I've tried irattach and opex_test with no success. Could anyone shed any light on this or have any suggestions. I will provide any information you need.
Please help
Thanx in advance _________________ BIGGMS

Thank you for the link and the advice but unfortunatly no joy
This thing is recognised as a serial device, is it possible that the IrDA is not needed, how then would I recieve a file via it?
Thank you in advance _________________ BIGGMS
