|
|
I have on my laptop with a Pentium M processor and the kernel 2.6.8 "CPU Frequency scaling" activated and use the cpufreqd daemon.
The Speedstepping is working well, but after the change to a lower frequency, the following message will be print to the console:
"Warning: CPU frequency out of sync: cpufreq and timing core thinks of 600000, is 1700000 kHz."
Whats the Problem?
Can I ignore the warning? |

Maybe you have Celeron M? These don't scale frequency at all. |

The first thing you should do is updating the kernel. 2.6.8 is quite old in ACPI/cpufreq terms. |
