Salut
j'ai fait toute l'installation mais quand je démarre ma machine voila le message au moment du boot vla le message que j'ai
Mounting file System
mount : mounting devfs on /dev/ failed No such device
error opening file ".devsfd" No such file or directory
Derterming Root device...
blck device /dev/hda3 is not a valid root device
rhe root block device is unspicified or no decteted
please specifi a device ......

Pourvez-vous m'aider

pourtant j'ai bien mon root sur /dev/hda3
fstab c'est ext3
.....
PS:
et pourtant j'avais testé avec le kernel fait make menuconfig pas de soucis mais avec genkernel car marche pas bien.
j'aiermais utiliser ce genkermel poour qu'il puisse dectecer le matérielle comme sur le livecd

support devfs dans le noyal OU udev emergé + config qui va bien (suivez le guide :wink: ) ?

J'ai rencontré le meme problème, et je l'ai resolu en rajoutant "udev" dans la section "append" de mon chargeur de démarage (à savoir lilo chez moi)

même problème ici après une installation de 2005.0 / genkernel. il a fallu que j'enlève de /boot/grub/grub.conf :


NO GOOD:

kernel /kernel-2.6.11-gentoo-r3 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/hda3


OK, mais je ne sais pas si ça peut causer problème!!!

kernel /kernel-2.6.11-gentoo-r3 root=/dev/hda3



???? il faudrait modifier la documentation!!!

Ton fstab est correct, mais le titre est contradictoire avec ce que tu dis. Ton message d'erreur au boot concerne bien /dev/hda3 ????
Maintenant concernant udev comme dit enlight tu peux nous faire voir ton /etc/rc.conf?

I had the same problem after following the documentation and this is what solved it for me...


In /boot/grub/grub.conf add "udev" at the end of the kernel line... like this..

Code:

kernel /kernel root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/hda3 udev
